〈概要〉 This lecture seeks to contribute to thinking differently, namely out of the box on the question of Israel/ Palestine through focusing on the city of Jerusalem. More precisely, this talk argues that a closer examination of the realities in Jerusalem and the city’s symbolic capitals demonstrate the failure of the logic of partition and separation to bring to a historical reconciliation in Israel/ Palestine. Jerusalem stands there calling a different ethics that should guide the future of historic Palestine. According to this ethics, the rights and identities of the Arabs and Jews in Palestine are inseparable practically and ethically.
